These pots were made by my niece Alaine last year in college.   She's not even an art major - just tinkers. I am extremely jealous.  Last spring she visited us in Japan for 4 months and studied a little under Mr. Kusakabe, a professional potter and friend of ours.  Even he said that she has real talent.  She really enjoyed working with him.  I can't wait to see what she'll do this year after her time in Japan.  Can you?
